Overlook Townhomes For Sale
Historic neighborhoods are one of Richmond's most beloved features. That said, historic living isn't everyone's cup of tea. Overlook offers condominium owners an opportunity for the best of both worlds, with some new and some relatively new units-all of which capitalize on the flavor and setting of historic Oregon Hill.
In a move that some might argue was ahead of the curve for revitalization, in the early 2000s, developer Steve Middleton (Commonwealth Properties) purchased land at the southern tip of Oregon Hill, where he carved out new condo units overlooking two of Richmond's most scenic features: its downtown skyline and the James River. In 2017, the project was revitalized under the hand of builder W.B. Garrett with 10 new units, bringing the total to around 80. Original units are cleanly styled, with hardwood floors and traditional finishes, while newer units feature more modern components, like marble and shiplap. Some newer units also include drive-under garages and front-facing porches to capitalize on scene and setting. Other benefits include the ability to walk to nearby locations like the VCU campus and a few of the city's best restaurants (like L'opossum and Mama Zu's), as well as outdoor events at nearby Tredegar Iron Works and on Brown's Island.
